We are pleased to offer you the chance to win in our fundraising 50/50 draws on 10 April, 10 May and 10 June 2024. Each new draw will open to purchase tickets 24 hours after previous draw date concludes. This fundraiser is in aid of raising our community portion of our new community all weather turf field.

This facility will not only provide local community recreational and sport opportunities but will benefit the region and the province during major tournaments and competitions.

This is an overview of our project.

In June 2023, all three levels of government announced their commitment to fund an all-weather artificial turf field, walking and walking trail. as well as an Indigenous program space along with lighting and washrooms. The new field will be located in Fall River abutting to Lockview High School.

Thousands of residents in the local area and in surrounding HRM communities will benefit from this new facility. This is a much-needed sport facility for all ages and supports many forms of recreation and organized sports. After five years of planning, this facility will soon become a reality.

The facility budget is $4.9 million. Governments have committed $1.13M in Municipal funding, $1.63 M in Provincial funding, and $1.96 M in Federal funding.

In any community-based project, we, as a community, are required to fundraise a portion of the project. The community contribution to the project is approximately $213,000. The design of the facility is underway, construction is scheduled to begin in Summer 2024.
